Biography
Dr. Joy Nauman is a licensed Naturopathic Physician practicing Primary Care at an Integrative Medicine clinic in Yakima, Washington. She also holds advanced degrees in Science and Education as well as a certificate in midwifery.
Dr. Nauman began her career as a Montessori Elementary teacher. During her time teaching, she developed a strong interest in research and developmental pediatrics. She then pursued a career as a clinician/researcher at National University of Natural Medicine and Helfgott Research Institute in
Portland, Oregon. After graduation, she moved to Yakima, Washington to join an established and thriving medical practice.
Dr. Nauman is passionate about creating systems and methodology for meaningful, clinician-led research in the field of Integrative Medicine. She is committed to equity and inclusion in both education and research and has advanced training in trauma-informed care. She is a strong and creative leader with the unique ability to hold a vision, synthesize evidence, and effectively disseminate information in both speaking and writing.
